“Crossroads” is where paths intersect, thoughts collide, and disciplines interpenetrate. This concept signifies a place where not only geographical or cultural boundaries but also senses, memory, nature, and the economy intertwine, creating new meanings.
Gastronomy is no longer simply a food and drink practice; it is a multilayered memory, an interpretation of our relationship with nature, and a mirror of our economic behavior. In this sense, the “crossroads” is being elevated to the summit as a mental convergence rather than a temporal and spatial overlap.
The Tourism Restaurant Investors and Gastronomy Operators Association (TURYID) has been highlighting gastronomy in all its components since its founding.
With its high potential for development, its rapid growth surpassing traditional sectors, and positioned as the newest lever of development, gastronomy; It is the most powerful resource that enables the diversification of domestic and international tourism with high added value, the transformation of national cuisine and food products into export products that contribute highly to the economy, the branding of cities and the increase of unexplored diplomatic opportunities.
